Lousy Labelling Of ‘Organic’ And ‘Natural’ Products
I recently watched the informative CBC Marketplace’s program on “Lousy Labels”. The show discussed very misleading “natural” and “organic” labelling in the beauty and personal-care products industry. I was rather startled to see so many baby products on their list of the 10 most misleading makeup, beauty, and personal care products!
The CBC Marketplace “Lousy Label” list:
10 Fa Natural Foam Bath
9 Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo
8 CoverGirl NatureLuxe Foundation
7 Huggies Organic Cotton Diapers
6 TRESemmé Naturals
5 Organic Surge
4 Aubrey Organics
3 Avalon Organics
2 Seventh Generation Chlorine Free Diapers
1 Huggies Natural Care Wipes

Also, if you’re trying to avoid beauty products with harsh chemicals, Fashion Magazine created their own list on ingredients to watch out for. (You can read their list here.)
Have you ever purchased the above mentioned products? Do you feel mislead by their ‘greenwashing’?
