Deep Purple Pedicure
Inspired by the latest nail colours from MAC & Chanel, I had to find a new deep purple to pretty my toes for a night out on the town.
I love MAC’s new fall/winter nail polish line which includes a deep purple called Rain of Flowers. Chanel’s current nail polish line that has a deep purple called Strong & a Grey/Black called Steel .
Knowing that I would only wear this colour a couple times, I found a cheaper alternative from Sally Hansen’s Diamond Strength line called 92 Deeply Violet. It’s a nice deep purple that looks almost black.
I picked up a couple of cute pedicure accessories including a pink crown toe separator & a gold nail file to make my DIY pedicure feel more pampering. I figure if I’m going to do my own toes, it mine as well be fun!
I used Sally Hansen’s Diamond Shine Base & Top coat for my base coat, then two coats of the Deeply Violet followed by 1 coat of the Diamond Shine for my top coat. Deeply Violet is so shiny and covers so well on it’s own, I didn’t need any additional coats. Very impressive for such a dark colour.
It is a dramatic deep purple, and now my favorite pedicure colour.
